wee
wee
My name is Li Hua Liu. I am from Fukian, China. I speak Fukianese and Mandarin. I am married. My husband is a tour bus driver. He works for a travel agency. We have two children. They both go to school.

I live in Chinatown. I live in an old apartment building. It is a 5-story building. I live on the 2nd floor. Most of my neighbors are Chinese. My neighborhood is quiet. It is safe too. Shopping and transportation is easy. The subway station and bus stop are very close from my home. There is a church, a restaurant, a Laundromat, a supermarket and a parking lot on the street in front of my building.

I don’t work. I am a housewife. But I am also busy everyday. I wake up at 8 o’clock in the morning. Then I cook and eat breakfast. Shortly before 9 o’clock, I go to school. I take an ESL class to study English. I go there 4 days a week, Monday through Thursday. After class, I go home and cook lunch. Then I have lunch. After lunch, I do the house work. At about 6 o’clock, I prepare for dinner and wait for my husband to come back for dinner. After dinner we watch TV. And go to bed at around 10 o’clock.

I came to America in 2001. Before I came to America, I was a secretary. I worked in a community group.

My favorite hobby is sleeping. In New York City, many people work many hours a day. They have to get up early and get home late. So they don’t have enough time to sleep. Sleeping has thus become a hobby to many. I am one of them. My favorite food is rice. My favorite restaurant is KFC. My favorite color is red.
